Yummy n Delicious Caramel Custard

This is easy to make and very much tasty Desert. Almost everyone loves this.......... Lets start with ingredients required.

Ingredients:


  • For Custard :
  1. 2 1/2 cups milk
  2. 3 Eggs
  3. 1/4th cup Sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
  5. Grated Nutmeg (Very little just for flavor)
  • For Caramel :
  1. 1/4th cup Sugar
  2. 1/4th cup Water
Method:

  • Caramel :
  1. Take a heavy based pan. Heat a pan and put sugar on it and melt it on low heat until it turns brown.
  2. Once the melted sugar turns its color to brown remove pan from fire and add water to it.
  3. Put the pan back on heat and cook on slow flame until a thick honey like syrup is obtained.
  4. While hot pour Caramel into a mold and gradually turn sides to get coated with caramel.
  5. Now keep the mold aside to set caramel.
  • Custard :
  1. Beat eggs with sugar throughly.
  2. Meanwhile heat milk for some time.
  3. Add this lukewarm milk to the egg and sugar syrup.
  4. Mix it well until sugar melts in the liquid.
  5. Now add vanilla essence and grated nutmeg to the mixture and mix it well.
  6. Pour liquid in mold and cover the mold with butter paper or aluminium foil.
  7. Now heat water in a pressure cooker. Once water starts boiling keep mold in it.
  8. Cover cooker and remove its whistle and keep it on medium flame for around 20 mins.
  9. Once it is done take mold out, remove aluminium foil and allow custard to cool. After some time keep it in a fridge.
Your caramel custard is ready to serve. Isn't it simple.
